Things that you need to know about each child in your core group.

• How does this child handle conflicts?

• Plans verbally or drawing

• Does this child know letters or numbers?

• Stay on task

• Handedness

• Crossing mid-line

• Grip on tools used

• Ability to cut?

• How did she/he organize materials they work with?

• Does planning help the child?

• Does the child need to do the actual work, to see their vision?

• Is there frustration when things didn’t progress as expected?

• More comfortable working standing up, sitting down or working on the floor?

• Child in space do they have typical balance, do they fall often, sit close to other children or sits alone. Do loud noises bother them?
